Assistant Relationship Manager

About the role

The Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) will work closely with Relationship Managers to support the management of Commercial and SME customer portfolios for ANZ in Tonga. You will ensure smooth onboarding, maintain compliance, and help drive operational excellence across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end onboarding of Commercial and SME customers, ensuring all documentation, due‑diligence and system set‑up are completed accurately and on time.
• Coordinate periodic KYC reviews, OCDD and ECDD requirements across the portfolio.
• Execute facility establishment, security implementation, drawdowns, account maintenance and Day 2 checks using CBS, Trade360, Razor and CCMS within 30 days of approval.
• Handle term‑deposit rollovers, maturity updates, rate confirmations and related controls.
• Identify, track and remediate CCMS reportable events, DDR findings and other operational control issues.
• Remediate data‑integrity issues identified through LUR, Daily Excess Management and Monthly Unmatched CCR reviews.
• Manage document retention and FileNet uploads for financial statements, valuations, insurance certificates, KYC and credit documentation.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of Commercial and SME banking, KYC/AML requirements and credit fulfilment processes.
• Experience with banking systems and stakeholder management.
• Demonstrated customer focus, risk management, data accuracy and commercial acumen.
• Highly organised execution specialist able to keep portfolios compliant and operational.
